Victorise App : Usability First For Action Sports Athletes

Context

The Victorise App is a Fitness app used to log runs or bike rides. I designed the User Experience and User Interface (Mobile and desktop). It's a competitive market and the focus was to really provide a simple usability.

Process

I identified the different steps in the user journey: the pre-activity and post-activity. It is critical for the pre-activity sequence to be as quick and simple as possible. The users are on the go and don't have any time to spend on setup. I choose a One-button pattern that allows the user to start recording the activity right away. After his activity, the user is presented with all the options to name, tag and edit his activity. These options are also available in the user feed so he can always reflect on it if he is also on the rush while finishing his activity. The other sections are being divided into tabs. It's a well known pattern that allows users to quickly navigate back and forth through different sections.

Results

The app is in the Apple Store and Google Play Store. It is used by many world class athletes and thousands of activities have been tracked.
