Transfyr is an AI-powered platform that helps scientists capture, analyze, and compare laboratory experiments. We joined as the client moved from a prototype direction into a full product—carrying the engagement through product definition, interface design, full-stack build, deployment, and real client rollout.
Context
Transfyr operates in the scientific space, using sophisticated AI and machine learning to analyze data from laboratory experiments. The platform's goal is to help researchers reproduce experiments more efficiently, detect deviations from expected results, assess viability, and refine how experiments are run across sites, operators, and protocols.
There is a useful parallel here with work we had done in sports performance: a lab experiment is, in many ways, like an athlete's run. Both produce telemetry, video, timestamps, and outcomes you need to compare across sessions. In one product you compare runs from different athletes; in Transfyr you compare runs from different operators, sites, and protocols to understand differences in performance, success rate, and result quality.
The product surfaces share the same building blocks—synchronized video, structured data panels, multi-track timelines, and run comparison workflows. Each project refined patterns the other could reuse. At the end of the day, data is data and a user experiment is a user experiment. The domain changes; the job does not: help people navigate complexity and extract actionable insight from an ever-growing volume of information.
Process
The engagement followed a classic startup arc: early concept validation, tight feedback loops with the founding team, and progressive hardening as the product moved toward production. We started with rough direction—concept screens, even slideshow-style explorations—and used AI-assisted iteration to move quickly from idea to testable interface without losing architectural discipline.
That speed mattered. Transfyr needed to feel credible in a scientific context while still evolving week to week. Our prior experience building telemetry-heavy products helped define the right information architecture early: how runs are listed and filtered, how observatories and protocols are organized, how a single run view synchronizes video, AI-detected actions, quantitative results, protocol steps, and sensor traces on one timeline.
On the product side, we shaped flows for recording new runs, managing observatories across groups and sites, and comparing experiment outcomes. On the engineering side, we moved from prototype to a production-grade SaaS stack with the security and operational requirements scientific deployments demand—access control, auditability, data integrity, and deployment practices appropriate for regulated lab environments.
The studio's vibe-coding approach was not about generating UI without direction. It was about multiplying senior product experience with AI so we could explore more options, test ideas faster, and still land on a coherent architecture. Experience provided the guardrails; AI accelerated the iteration loop.
Results
Transfyr moved from prototype direction to a high-end production platform deployed with real client rollout. The interface supports the full lifecycle of scientific runs—from capture through analysis—while keeping dense information navigable for researchers, operators, and executives reviewing performance across sites.
The project is a strong example of what this studio does best: translate an ambitious technical vision into a product people can actually use, especially when the underlying data is complex, multimodal, and mission-critical.
- End-to-end delivery: Product strategy, UX/UI, full-stack implementation, and deployment support.
- Comparable-run intelligence: List, search, filter, and compare experiment runs across operators, sites, and protocols.
- Multimodal run analysis: Video, AI-detected actions, quantitative results, protocol context, and telemetry aligned on a shared timeline.
- Production readiness: Security-conscious architecture and rollout practices suited to scientific SaaS deployments.
